Apostolic Life ( Prayer Warriors)'s Post

The Bible says, “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” (Leviticus 18:22) Again it says, “If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense.” (Leviticus 20:13) Homosexual sin is so offensive to God that it was a capitol offense punishable by death in Old Testament times. In the New Testament Paul says, “Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.” Paul is very clear here that those who practice homosexuality will not inherit the kingdom of God. Has God changed his mind in 2022? Do the cultural trends of society change what’s written in the word of God? Or is God the one who is right and society is the one who has it backwards. “Let God be true and every man a liar.” (Romans 3:4)

“God does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” (2 Peter 3:9) Homosexual sin, like all sin, separates us from God. The punishment for all sin is death and an eternity in hell. But “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) We deserve hell because of our sin, but God made a way through Christ for us to come back to the Father. God accepts us as we are but loves us too much to leave us that way. God is waiting for you with open arms! If you’ve never accepted Jesus into your life, pray with me… Dear Jesus, forgive me of my sins. Thank you dying on the cross and rising again, so I could be in Heaven with you forever someday. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you for welcoming me into your family. In Jesus’ name I pray… amen
